10. Torrell Martin – Winthrop Eagles (2004-2007)

Career stats: 12.8 ppg 4.9 rpg 1.6 apg

As a full-time starter in his final three seasons, Martin never averaged less than 13 ppg. He led the team in both scoring and rebounding in the year Winthrop dominated the Big South with a 27-6 (15-1) record.

9. Markis McDuffie – Wichita State Shockers (2016-)

Career stats: 8.5 ppg 3.1 rpg 1.1 apg

His stats are limited on paper due to injuries and having other offensive options, but McDuffie’s defense alone gets him on this list. When he was a full-time starter in 2017, the forward analytically was one of the best defenders in all of college basketball, while averaging in double figures as well. Expect a huge senior campaign from him next season.

8. Tyrone Walker – Winthrop Eagles (2001-2004)

Career stats: 11.0 ppg 6.1 rpg 1.6 apg

Not only is Walker one of Marshall’s best pure big men, but he was also near the top of the Big South as well, ranking in the top-five in rebounds and blocked shots. Even though he was a bit undersized at 6’6, Walker averaged nearly eight boards his senior season.

7. Toure’ Murry – Wichita State Shockers (2009-2012)

Career stats: 11.1 ppg 4.5 rpg 3.1 apg

Although he was a productive double-digit scorer throughout his career, Murry’s contributions involved all aspects of his game. He was considered one of the Missouri Valley’s best defenders during his time, as well as ranking in the top-10 in both steals and assists multiple years.
