6. Shaquille Morris – Wichita State Shockers (2015-2018)

Career stats: 8.7 ppg 4.2 rpg 0.8 apg

A quality defender throughout his four years with Marshall, Morris showed his offensive talents his senior season. He averaged 14.0 ppg and 5.6 rpg, while shooting a crisp 55% from the floor. Considering that his minutes were limited due to having multiple bigs in the rotation, Morris’s production was highly efficient throughout his career.

5. Greg Lewis – Winthrop Eagles (2000-2002)

Career stats: 14.8 ppg 8.1 rpg 1.1 apg

After spending two years at the Junior College level, Lewis became an instant star with the Eagles, helping them get to multiple NCAA Tournaments. He had arguably the best single-season individual performance under Marshall, averaging 15.4 ppg and 10.1 rpg. Not only was he awarded the Big South Player of the Year Award, but the AP also gave him an All-American honorable mention.

4. Landry Shamet – Wichita State Shockers (2016-2018)

Career stats: 12.9 ppg 3.0 rpg 4.1 apg

Once the players in the golden era of Wichita State Basketball all departed, a new group of guys was left to continue the growth of the program. Shamet was the leader of the pack, facilitating the offense for the past two seasons. He led the AAC in both assists and shooting percentage and was an All-Conference point guard.
