Paul Jorgensen was a huge part of Butler basketball’s success last season. What can the Bulldogs expect out of the electric guard in his final season?

One of the biggest questions heading into last season for Butler basketball centered around the backcourt. Everybody knew how talented Kamar Baldwin was but making up for the losses of Kethan Savage, Tyler Lewis, and Avery Woodson was not going to be easy. In addition, the program was entering new leadership under head coach LaVall Jordan. However, the Bulldogs once again outplayed their preseason expectations and made the NCAA Tournament as a No. 10 seed.

A large part of this success was due to the junior season of Paul Jorgensen, who was an incoming transfer from George Washington. Quite simply, “Prince Harry of Harlem” made an immediate impact with the program. Despite averaging just 4.3 points per game in two seasons with the Colonials, Jorgensen finished third on Butler in scoring with 10.2 points per game.

He was a steady member of the rotation and brought shooting and swagger to every matchup. Whether he was a starter or the sixth man, Jorgensen was always the “energizer bunny” for the Bulldogs. It seemed as though there was a moment in every game where he made a play that put a smile on the face of every fan in Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Looking ahead to next season, Jorgensen has one more year left with the Bulldogs. Now with higher expectations, what can the Bulldog faithful look for out of Jorgensen in his senior year?
