Donte DiVincenzo, Villanova

Prior to the national title game, nobody would’ve pitted Donte DiVincenzo as a potential NBA Draft prospect. Then, the sophomore guard played the game of his life, scoring 31 points on 5-of7 shooting from three-point range to propel Villanova to their second title in three years.

All of the sudden, DiVincenzo is the toast of the town (at least to those who can ignore past comments dug up on his Twitter page).

DiVincenzo is wining and dining with NBA teams leading up to the decision deadline, tempting him to remain in the NBA Draft. He worked out with the Atlanta Hawks and enjoyed lunch with Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge.

A potential first-round pick according to many mocks, this spells trouble for Villanova.

It doesn’t help that fellow star Omari Spellman has also withheld a draft decision to this point.

Villanova will be fine without one, maybe even both of those players. They’ll still have several of their stars from their championship season, as well as five-star freshman Jahvon Quinerly.

If DiVincenzo returns, however, the Wildcats could have all the makings of a dynasty.

Prediction: It goes down to the wire, but DiVincenzo ultimately decides to…stay in the NBA Draft
