Bob Huggins has had an incredible career as a head coach in college basketball. Here are the 15 greatest players that he’s coached over the years.

In over 30 years as a head coach, Bob Huggins has only been apart of two losing seasons. That kind of consistency is unheard of and might be even more impressive than the 24 NCAA Tournament appearances he has amassed.

Huggins started out his career at Akron in 1984, where he won both the regular season and conference tournament to take the Zips to the Big Dance. After four straight 20+ win seasons, he was off to Cincinnati, where he truly made his name.

He spent 16 years with the Bearcats, spanning over three different conferences, and a Final Four appearance in 1992. Things were going great for Huggins and Cincy, until off the court problems started to really cause problems for the program. The two sides parted ways in 2005, with the coach leaving with the most wins in school history.

After a one-year pit stop at Kansas State, Huggins returned to his alma mater West Virginia. In the 11 years since Huggins and the Mountaineers have nine NCAA Tournament appearances, a trip to the Final Four in 2010, as well as four straight years with 25+ wins, a streak that’s currently active.

In an earlier piece I wrote, Huggins was ranked as the No. 9 active college basketball head coach. He’s an all-time coaching great who has had many talented players. Find out who the top guys are now.
