Texas-San Antonio Basketball lucked up on a freshman star last season. How good will Jhivvan Jackson be for the Roadrunners in his sophomore campaign?

Conference USA is a top-heavy conference with legitimately five or six teams who can compete for the top spot. One of the favorites for the top spot in that conference has already had a player listed on this countdown. The next player comes from a program whose pace of play is best described by their mascot. The UTSA Roadrunners are one of the more explosive teams in the country on the offensive end, and on any given night can light up a scoreboard.

Roadrunners coach Steve Henson loves to spread the floor with five guys who can shoot from anywhere on the floor. His prime offensive weapon is one of the shorter players in the conference but also one of the deadliest shooters in college basketball. Jhivvan Jackson is entering his sophomore year at the San Antonio university.

Since the small guard has stepped foot on campus he has been a prolific scorer. Jackson who came became a roadrunner by way of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, found himself all over the lists of top players in the conference after his first year. The guard already holds some impressive records, not only at UTSA but also nationally.

Jackson was top 10 nationally is scoring for all Freshman last year. In a game against Oklahoma last year Jackson was able to outscore Trae Young. The sophomore guard was coming off the bench at that time. In the game he scored 31 points to Youngs 28 while playing six less minutes. This was only the start of the coming out party for the guard from Puerto Rico.
