Florida basketball has been remarkably consistent in recent years. With three top-100 2018 recruits coming in, the future also looks quite bright.

Florida basketball is one of the best teams in the country every year. The program has won 20+ in 19 of the last 20 seasons and they also added two national championships during that span. Even though Kentucky is often thought of as the clear-cut best team out of the SEC, Florida really is not that far behind. The Gators might not bring in the same quality of recruiting class as the Wildcats but the performances on the floor are not that far apart.

Florida has finished in the top-3 of the SEC in six of the last eight years. The expectation is that that streak will continue in 2018-19 but it will not be easy. Replacing Egor Koulechov and Chris Chiozza will not be easy and that is where the incoming group of freshmen come in.

With three top-100 recruits committed, head coach Mike White did a sensational job on the recruiting front for the 2018 class. All three of his incoming recruits can be immediate impact players for the Gators. Considering the program will need to replace those major pieces from last year, these recruits might need to have standout years in order for UF to compete at the top of the SEC. The conference will be very strong this year but it would still be a surprise if we did not see the Gators near the top.

Without further ado, let’s break down each of the three players joining the program and look at what they will bring to the team.
