The roster for Gonzaga Basketball is now set for the 2018-19 season. What are the projected rotations and minutes for the newest and returning Bulldogs?

There are very few NCAA Basketball teams that had a better offseason than Gonzaga, who just about benefitted from every decision concerning their program.

The Bulldogs received early commitments from sophomores Killian Tillie and Rui Hachimura to return to the team rather than opt to the NBA Draft. That gave the coaching staff an idea of what the squad will look for next year, still with scholarships to spare.

As expected, Head Coach Mark Few was scouring both the recruiting and the transfer market to find some talent eligible to play for next season. One of the only needs for the team was a backup point guard for Josh Perkins, an area of weakness for the team this past year.

After missing out on class of 2018 point guard Brandon Williams (picked Arizona) and a host of other targets, Gonzaga was able to land Geno Crandall. He’s a grad transfer combo guard from North Dakota who torched the Bulldogs for 28 points for a closer-than-expected overtime loss in Spokane this past season.

The roster is all but set after the Jesse Wade decided to transfer weeks ago, just recently picking WCC rival BYU. His loss isn’t too detrimental, as Crandall’s arrival would’ve limited his minutes anyway.

The purpose of this piece is to project the early rotations and minutes for the Bulldogs for next season. I’ll be using the traditional positions (PG, SG, SF, PF and C) to make things clearer for the readers.

*3/4-star guard Greg Foster Jr. will be a part of the roster, but I project him to redshirt for the 2018-19. Gonzaga could easily lose up to five key players in a year, so playing time will be there for him the following season.
