Wisconsin Basketball: Top 2019 recruiting targets for the Badgers
Malik Hall – Wichita, KS
Forward | 6-foot-7 | 190 lbs | No. 69 overall – OFFERED
Malik Hall can do it all (I know that rhymed but it wasn’t the point). A high-energy wing from Kansas, Hall projects as an excellent two-way player at the college level. He can attack the basket, shoot from deep, switch on defense, and has also shown flashes of being a creative playmaker. While he may not have one “elite” skill, he does just about everything well. Ranked at No. 69 in the 2019 class, it is clear that recruiting services, as well as several high-major programs, have high praise for Hall as well.
On the EYBL circuit, Hall has been excellent for MOKAN Elite this spring and summer. In 23 total games, Hall averaged 14.7 points (50.2/31.0/72.5), 5.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. A well-rounded offensive player, he is developing as a shooter from distance and can attack the basket consistently. After a strong senior season in high school, he could be an immediate impact player at the college level in 2019-20.
As of July 22, though, it seems as though Wisconsin is a long shot to land Hall. With Kansas, Oregon, and Purdue (each hold one crystal ball prediction) heavily involved in his recruitment, it will be difficult for the Badgers to swoop in and snag this top-100 recruit. Nonetheless, he would be a really good add if possible.
