Breaking down the best college players at every height as we move closer to the start of the 2018-19 NCAA Basketball campaign.
Whether you’re a 5-foot-7 spark plug or 7-foot-3 hair-flipping behemoth, one thing is true – size does matter.
College basketball is still three-and-a-half months away, but that doesn’t mean we can’t parse through every detail prior to the season, including the best players at each height.
Between 5-foot-7 and 7-foot-3, there is at least one player listed at each size except for 7-foot-1 (last year, we had Arizona’s DeAndre Ayton leading the charge for the 85-inch crowd).
Athletic, big-bodied wings continue to be the gold standard across all levels of basketball, but unlike the NBA, college hoops still allows for a little variability in player size. In fact, according to PRPG!, of the top-six players last season, three were listed at exactly 6-foot-2, while the other three stood at least 6-foot-11. College basketball has plenty of flaws, but the different roster constructs and contrasting styles do add an intriguing element to the game.
Here are the top 2018-19 players at each listed height, along with honorable mentions “HM”.
