NCAA Basketball: Top college basketball players at each height for 2018-19
By Brian Foley
7-foot
JR Udoka Azubuike, Kansas
2017-18: 13.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.7 bpg
Azubuike is a talented shot blocker and a phenomenal finisher at the rim (82.2 percent shooting at the basket). The 7-foot junior was a steady presence on the Jayhawks’ Final Four squad last season, but he could be marginalized on Kansas’ ridiculously loaded roster in 2018-19. Still, while Azubuike won’t be the biggest star for KU this year, his leadership will be immensely valuable for Bill Self as so many underclassmen and transfers enter the fold.

7-foot-2
FR Bol Bol, Oregon
There are three returning collegians listed at 7-foot-2, but it’s Bol, the incoming freshman, who will grab headlines this season. Bol is absolutely massive – with a 7-foot-8 wingspan and a 9-foot-6 standing reach – and he is a very capable offensive weapon who can shoot from the outside. Oregon will feature one of the most dynamic offenses in the nation, with Bol likely leading the way as an unguardable freak.

7-foot-3
SR Aaron Menzies, St. Mary’s
2017-18: 11.3 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 2.3 bpg
Menzies, a grad transfer from Seattle, will be a big part of Randy Bennett’s plans as the Gaels look to return to the NCAA tournament. The 7-foot-3 Englishman was one of only three players to total 300 rebounds and 75 blocks last season, joining recent lottery selections Wendell Carter Jr. and Mo Bamba. We’ll see how Bennett integrates Menzies into his offense; St. Mary’s ranked 11th in three-point percentage last season, but Menzies is yet to attempt a three-pointer in college.
