Louis King – Jersey City, NJ

Forward | 6-foot-8 | 195 lbs | No. 20 overall

Did someone ask for a walking bucket? When looking up and down the Oregon roster for this upcoming season, it seems to be loaded with defensive weapons and creators. However, there does not seem to be one player who jumps out as the go-to offensive weapon. In my opinion, Louis King could be that guy. Yes, I understand that he is recovering from an injury in January but he should be back to form by the start of this season. Standing at 6-foot-8 with impressive athleticism and a polished set of skills, King can fill up the basket with the best of them nationally.

With his unique combination of size, length, fluidity as an athlete, and shooting ability, King possesses all of the gifts and skills to be one of the best scorers in the country. He can operate both with the ball in his hands, as a slasher, or as a shooter when coming off of screens. In addition, he is so incredibly dangerous because it is nearly impossible to match up with his physical gifts.

Speaking of his physical measurements and athleticism, King can also be a switchable defender. His size and athleticism allow him to defend positions 2-through-4 with relative ease and he could develop into an excellent two-way player. If this happens and he starts to show more consistency offensively, it would not be a surprise to see King selected in the lottery of next summer’s NBA Draft. He has the perfect set of skills to be an elite wing at the professional level.

For now, though, he could be the go-to scorer for one of the best teams in the country.
