PF Marvin Bagley III, Sacramento Kings

In his lone season with the Duke Blue Devils, Marvin Bagley III was a dominant force. He was the go-to offensive stud for the team all year long and was a major reason why the team reached the Elite Eight. Easily one of the most difficult players to defend in college basketball, he was a matchup nightmare for just about every single opponent he faced. For the year, Bagley averaged 21.0 points and 11.1 rebounds per game while on his way to being named the ACC Player of the Year.

However, what possibly stood out most from his season was his efficiency as a scorer. Over the course of the season, he scored on shooting splits of 64.7/39.7/62.7 (2P%/3P%/FT%). Even though the percentage from the charity stripe was not great, it is hard to argue against those other two being spectacular numbers.

A dynamic offensive threat, Bagley should be a solid scoring force as a rookie in 2K19. His rating will approach near 80 overall but likely will be held back due to defensive limitations. However, with his ability to work in the post as well as spot-up as a 3-point shooter, Bagley should be a useful offensive weapon in 2K. Considering he will likely have obvious strengths and weaknesses in the video games this year, Bagley will likely play similarly to other players around his overall rather than being a “cheat code” or playing down to a lower rating.

Predicted overall rating: 78 overall.
