C Mohamed Bamba, Orlando Magic

Mohamed Bamba was tremendous in his lone college season but it was hard to get a ton of momentum. Due to some injuries and a lack of shooting from the entire roster, Texas missed out on the NCAA Tournament. Regardless, though, Bamba showed tremendous potential on both ends of the floor and his physical gifts, which are tremendous, landing him in the top-5 of the NBA Draft. During his lone college season, Bamba averaged 12.9 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game.

Bamba has the potential to be one of the most dangerous rookies in this class in regards to 2K. With a massive wingspan and presumably high block rating, the former Texas Longhorn should be one of the premier defense threats in the video game. However, that is just scratching the surface. While in college, Bamba shot 14-for-51 (27.5%) from beyond the 3-point arc.

While it is unlikely that he will get a high open 3-point shot rating, keeping that at a “D or better” level could make him a serious threat. However, he is still raw with most of his game and therefore will mostly play better than his rating due to physical gifts of speed and wingspan (+ blocks).

Predicted overall rating: 75 overall.
