Kansas Basketball is the powerhouse of the Big 12. With five highly-touted recruits coming in, the future looks poised to carry the torch for Coach Self.

Kansas Basketball is consistently one of the best programs in all of college sports. Year in and year out, the Jayhawks absolutely dominate the Big 12 Conference, a league that is well-known as one of the most powerful in the nation. Despite this, Kansas racks up regular-season titles year after year and it is nearly impossible to slow down this basketball machine.

As we look ahead to the 2018-19 season, this trend looks poised to continue. Even though Kansas lost a fair amount of talent this offseason, several players returned and a few transfers are going to be eligible this time around. Oh, and head coach Bill Self also went out and landed the No. 5 ranked recruiting class in the country. No big deal. The class just consists of three top-100 players and a couple of other nice pieces.

With these five players coming in, Kansas basketball looks to be in good shape for years to come (barring any fallout from the FBI investigation). Of course, it is possible that one or more of these players ends up heading to the NBA early but this class should still do some incredible things with the program. The Jayhawks are one of the preseason favorites to win the national title during the 2018-19 season and these freshmen will certainly help in trying to do that.

Now, let’s break down each of the recruits coming in and what they can bring to the table for Coach Self. (Note: All recruiting rankings found via 247Sports Composite.)
