In order to do well in WCC Basketball, quality play from seniors play is important. Here are the top-10 coming in to the 2018-19 season.

As the college basketball season approaches, incoming freshman and transfers with new homes have stolen the spotlight. However, while WCC Basketball does have its share of transfers and exciting recruits, the senior class remains strong.

While three of the last four WCC Player of the Year winners have been seniors, the conference itself had become less senior dominated. Other than Saint Mary’s senior trio and Gonzaga’s Johnathan Williams, every other 2017-18 All-WCC selection had eligibility remaining.

Entering the 2018-19 season, WCC fans should be excited to watch last year’s strong junior class join a pair of grad transfers to make this season’s senior class one of the strongest in recent memory.  Not only could a senior win WCC Player of the Year, over half of the returning All-WCC selections are in the senior class.

While some teams, like BYU and Portland, will not be reliant on senior talent to win games, San Diego has perhaps the deepest senior class in the conference. The Toreros top four returning scorers are all seniors and have the experience that other teams in the conference lack. Gonzaga, which boasts a strong sophomore and junior class, will rely on its seniors to set the tone for what could be a National Championship run.

With so much talent and experience in the WCC, here is a look at the top seniors heading into 2018-19.

Honorable Mentions: Matt Hauser (Santa Clara), Eric Cooper (Pepperdine), Tyler Williams (San Diego), Matt McCarthy (San Francisco), Anthony Townes (Pacific)
