6. David Duke, Providence

Guard | 6-foot-3 | 175 lbs | No. 46 overall

Providence lost three incredibly important players this offseason in Kyron Cartwright, Rodney Bullock, and Jalen Lindsey. As a byproduct of these departures, the program will need to see a few players step up in 2018-19 in order for the team to be as successful as it has been in recent years. This where David Duke, a top-50 recruit, could potentially step in. A true combo guard in that he can function with or without the ball offensively, Duke adds plenty of game to the roster.

At 6-foot-3, he has enough size to play either guard position and function within the offense. Although not a particularly deadly shooter from beyond the arc, he attacks the basket well and does a nice job finding open teammates when the defense collapses. With some combination of Makai Ashton-Langford, Isaiah Jackson, and Maliek White covering the starting backcourt for the Friars, Duke will likely find a role as a reserve guard.

Regardless, though, he will be a very solid depth piece that can score and create in bunches when on the floor. He is a dynamite recruit for head coach Ed Cooley to bring on the roster and he should make an immediate impact before blossoming into a star over time with the Friars.
