Total Minutes

Here is the total projected minutes counter for each player, with the difference from last year’s minutes in parentheses.

"S. Hauser: 32 (-0.6) Howard: 30 (-1.5) Chartouny: 24 (-12.0) Morrow: 19 (-4.4) Anim: 18 (-9.0) Heldt: 17 (-4.9) J. Hauser: 17 (n/a) Elliott: 17 (-1.3) Cain: 15 (-2.2) John: 11 (-0.8)"

Clearly, everyone is going to have sacrifice minutes for Marquette this season. These projections also don’t include Bailey, Eke or any of MU’s four walk-ons, who will take at least a handful of minutes in blowouts. Wojo could shorten his rotation, and he likely will late in the season and in big games.

This stuffed rotation also leaves Marquette vulnerable to a transfer during or after the season; only Heldt and Chartouny are graduating next spring, and talented guard Koby McEwen has already transferred into the program after two seasons at Utah State. Barring a catastrophic injury or an unexpected NBA Draft entry, the rotation will be just as crowded in 2019-20, especially with Bailey and Eke knocking on the door.
