Nov. 27 vs. Charleston Southern

Last Year: 15-16 (9-9 Big South)
NCAA Tournament: No
2018-19 Projection: 236th

Four of Charleston Southern’s top-five players return to campus this season, including leading scorer Christian Keeling (17.6 points per game last season). The 6-foot-3 junior lives at the tin, where he finished off 64 percent of his attempts last season. He is less of a sure thing outside the paint though; Keeling shot just 30 percent on 251 jump shots.

More. Expectations for Marquette's Morrow in 2018-19. light

The Golden Eagles were a poor rebounding team last season, but they should murder Charleston Southern on the boards. The Buccaneers’ tallest player is Sadarius Bowser, a 6-foot-9 freshman. CSU is a fairly limited team on offense, so there should be plenty of chances for Matt Heldt, Ed Morrow, Theo John, and Jamal Cain to chew some glass and pad the team’s rebounding stats.

The Big South finished 24th out of 32 conferences in RPI in 2017-18, and will be sending Charleston Southern and the aforementioned Presbyterian to Milwaukee this season.

Marquette has not faced the Buccaneers since 1992, a 73-35 win in the two programs’ lone meeting.
