Minutes Distribution

With the amount of talent on this roster, it will not be easy for head coach Jay Wright to construct a consistent rotation. This is especially due to the idea that there are 10-11 players on the roster (pending redshirts) that are all capable of playing significant roles this season. Yet, Coach Wright traditionally deploys 7-8 man rotations and it will very difficult to sit some really good players this season.

For the sake of my minutes distribution below, it is a nine-man rotation due to the fact that we have not seen several of these players suit up for the Wildcats yet. With this being said, their individual roles remain unclear and making predicting playing time very difficult. As you will see, the two notable omissions from the rotation are Saddiq Bey and Dylan Painter, both of whom could easily find minutes over others, especially depending on the matchups.

Guard: Quinerly (25), Booth (15)

Guard: Booth (13), Gillespie (20), Cremo (7)

Guard/Forward: Cremo (20), Samuels (10), Slater (10)

Forward: Paschall (15), Swider (20), Slater (5)

Forward: Cosby-Roundtree (25), Paschall (15)

Total minutes (nine players): Paschall (30), Booth (28), Cosby-Roundtree (25), Cremo (27), Quinerly (25), Gillespie (20), Swider (20), Slater (15), and Samuels (10).

Villanova basketball may have lost four extremely talented players this offseason but they are reloading with national title aspirations once again. There are some under-the-radar stars on this roster and the Wildcats should once again be favorites to win the Big East. In addition, they will easily be a top-25 preseason team in the country.
