Georgia Bulldogs
Starting Five: Jarvis Hayes, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Yante Maten, Trey Thompkins, D.A. Lavine
Bench: Anthony Evans, Ezra Williams, Rashad Wright, Sundiata Gaines, Travis Leslie, Charles Mann, Marcus Thorton, J.J. Frazier
MVP: KCP and Maten were both SEC Players of the Year, but Hayes was a two-time All-American and so quintessentially college basketball.
Kentucky Wildcats
Starting Five: Tayshaun Prince, Jodie Meeks, Anthony Davis, Tyler Ulis, John Wall
Bench: Malik Monk, Keith Bogans, DeMarcus Cousins, Terrence Jones, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Julies Randle, Karl-Anthony Towns, Jamal Murray, De’Aaron Fox
Practice Squad: Nerlens Noel, Jamaal Magloire, Gerald Fitch, Patrick Sparks, Rajon Rondo, Randolph Morris, Ramel Bradley, Patrick Patterson, Willie Cauley-Stein, Kevin Knox, Bam Adebayo, James Young, Devin Booker
MVP: Prince had the better career, but Davis was one of the most dominant forces in the history of college basketball in his lone season in Lexington.
Lol. I don’t even know where to begin. There are two SEC Players of the Year on the bench. Anyone but Florida from this conference is getting destroyed by this group.
LSU Tigers
Starting Five: Stromile Swift, Brandon Bass, Glen Davis, Marcus Thornton, Ben Simmons
Bench: Tyrus Thomas, Tasmin Mitchell, Johnny O’Bryant III, Jordan Mickey, Jarrell Martin, Jaime Lloreda, Ronald Dupree, Garrett Temple
MVP: It has to be Big Baby. He had arguably the best career of the group and is an unforgettable figure in this era of college basketball.
LSU is more talented and deeper than I expected. They are in the running to be the third-best team in the conference behind the two juggernauts.
