Cole Anthony is the top perimeter player in the 2019 recruiting class. Which of the 12 listed finalists are in the best position to land the five-star prospect?

When it comes to the 2019 NCAA Basketball recruiting class, many at the top of the group are all frontcourt players. But while there are some quality high school senior guards, one stands out more than the other.

Cole Anthony is the consensus top guard in the next recruiting class, ranked No. 3 by 247sportsComposite. The son of former college and NBA star Greg Anthony, Cole is a 6’3 combo guard that is an electrifying athlete and can play both on and off the ball.

He can play and facilitate any type of offense and can fill up the stat sheet. His size and strength, along with his willingness to go down low project him to be a great rebounder at the next level. There may be triple-doubles for him down the road for the 2019-20 season.

Anthony already has basketball accolades in his career. He’s a participant of the gold medal USA National Basketball team in the U18 tournament, averaging over 14 ppg and 4.0 apg. The New York native has plans on playing for the prestigious Oak Hill Academy for his senior year in high school.

For the most part, Anthony’s recruitment has been kept under wraps. There are the “rumored” favorites but for the most part, it’s been a wait and see for who truly has a shot with the combo guard. Now it’s more clear, with the prospect naming his top-12 finalists.

Who are those teams? And which of them are the best bets to land Anthony? I’ll provide the teams and what their respective rosters will look like for the 2019-20 season. From there, I’ll rank them by most appealing to the five-star recruit.
