St. Francis (PA) Basketball plans on contending next season in the Northeast Conference. To do so, senior guard Jamaal King will have to be an elite star.

The Northeast Conference is one that many do not know about. The basketball in this conference much like, many of their lower level counterparts has a horrible time with the power schools. Most of the schools are delinquent in talent when it compares to the Power 6 schools. What the Northeast conference lacks in big names, they make up for with tremendously exciting basketball. Most of the teams in this conference love to spread the floor and score a lot of points.

The Saint Francis University Red Flash is no exception to this rule. Saint Francis finds themselves in an interesting position already, as they share a name of another university in the conference. The Saint Francis Brooklyn Terriers are also part of the Northeast conference. The Red Flash, however, have a player on their roster who would win the hearts of many college basketball fans. He has not yet because Saint Francis is rarely on TV and they have not made the NCAA tournament since this player has been on campus. If they do make the tournament, this player is going to enter everyone’s homes and his name will be remembered.

Jamaal King is a senior guard for the Red Flash, and he is an exciting player. The Red Flash enter the season as one of the favorites to win this conference. Head Coach Rob Krimmel has a large chunk of his roster returning from a year ago, including his top two scorers from a year ago. The Red Flash play fast and score enough to win. Averaging close to 80 points per game last year, coach Krimmel is hoping this number can improve. If it does Saint Francis should have no trouble winning the conference.
