The rosters may not be the same but, in recent years, UCLA has simply had USC’s number.

UCLA has won four of the last five meetings, including a sweep last season. In fact, that sweep is largely the reason why the Bruins found their way into the NCAA Tournament while the Trojans were surprisingly left out.

For all the negatives that may be written about Steve Alford, it’s clear that he has figured something out against Andy Enfield. Last year was a prime example of that as USC probably had more talent on their roster but was unable to pick up a victory against their crosstown rivals.

Now, with the more talented team, the Bruins are poised to keep their stranglehold on the city in this rivalry.
