After a disappointing 2017-18 finish in the NCAA Tournament, Kentucky Basketball will look to go back to it dominant and winning ways this season.

While Kentucky Basketball is one of the powerhouses of college basketball they were only able to make it to the second round of the NCAA tournament. They are consistently one of the top teams in recruiting. This year they ranked second in recruiting, Last year they ranked second and next year they rank second in recruiting.

They have more five-star talents coming to the campus. They have reloaded and are looking to finally go deep in the NCAA tournament after years of early exits. The players will always come to Kentucky as long as head coach John Calipari is there. This recruiting class is as talented as any of them.

Calipari has built a recruiting powerhouse at Kentucky with players like Anthony Davis, Devin Booker and Karl Anthony-Towns going there in past years. All players are young players in the NBA that will look to have great careers in the league.

The SEC is also not a deep conference. They have won the conference tournament the past four seasons. While Kentucky has been able to have some success in the Calipari era they only have one National title to boast. That was won by the dominant Anthony Davis squad.

It is hard to win a National Championship but a team that is always talented like the Wildcats should always have a chance. While that is the case they haven’t been to the Final Four since 2014-15. This highly talented recruiting class will look to change things.
