Key Reserves

SO Kouat Noi

Effectively the sixth starter, Noi was a high volume scorer as a freshman, averaging 18.5 ppg per 40 minutes. More than half of his shots came from the three-point line, where he shot it at a 43% clip. If Dixon really wanted to maximize TCU’s offense, he could go small and have Noi in the starting lineup and have Miller play the five-spot. They may give up some rebounds but would be hard to stop, with a few elite perimeter shooters.

FR RJ Nembhard and Kendric Davis

These two top-100 point guards will struggle to find consistent playing time with two guys who averaged over 5.0 apg still on the roster. Nembhard already redshirted while Davis is a true freshman, so they’ll certainly be part of TCU’s future backcourts. With Fisher hurt, one of them may play sooner than expected.

FR Lat Mayen

An athletic forward at 6’8 and 200 pounds, Mayen redshirted last season while buried in the depth chart. While the roster overall is still fairly stacked, the power forward spot behind Miller is open for him to be a backup and get some minutes.

FR Russell Barlow

A three-star incoming freshman, Barlow’s time on the court will solely depend on how ready Samuel is as the starting center. If the coaching staff plans on playing him and Alok the vast majority of the minutes at the five-spot, then look for Barlow to redshirt.

FR Kaden Archie

Another top-100 recent recruit, Archie is an elite small forward who can drive to the basket and create offense for himself. The depth on the wings is steep for the Horned Frogs but minutes could be available if the lineups vary.
