Wisconsin basketball is coming off of a disappointing season. With this being said, a healthy Badgers roster could make a push back to the NCAA Tournament.

Even though Wisconsin basketball missed the NCAA Tournament this past season, a resurgence could occur right away. Head coach Greg Gard has a strong returning roster that should be completely healthy heading into the year. If this is the case, the Badgers might be stronger than a lot realize. Over the course of this century, Wisconsin has been one of the elite-level programs in the country and the future could be dictated based on this season.

Regardless of the amount of talent on paper, though, there are still plenty of questions facing the team heading into this year. Even though a lot of struggles from last season can be attributed to injuries, not all of them can be. In the end, there are still plenty of other reasons why the team posted just a 15-18 (7-11 Big Ten) record and missed the postseason.

Because of this, improvements from the entire roster are seemingly necessary for the team to be successful in 2018-19. So, in order to figure out where the team can take the next steps this season, here are five potential keys to success. If Coach Gard and the Badgers are able to capitalize on these facets of the game, then a strong season could indeed be in the cards.
