This Kansas Basketball team is loaded with depth inside. Last year their depth was an issue but they won’t have any issues with that this season.

Bill Self loves having this teams where they can dominate inside. The past few years they’ve been small ball teams but that won’t be the case this season.

This doesn’t mean the Jayhawks aren’t loaded with talent at the guard position, cause they are, but the inside game they have might be the best in the country.

It was a fun run of playing small ball with guys like Josh Jackson and Svi Mykhailuik playing at the four spots. It’s time to get back to what Self and the Jayhawks do best. They’re gonna dominate inside to try and get back to a Final Four.

The biggest question about the depth is whether or not Bill Self will use all of them late in the season. Self is known to cut his rotation down when the season matters most. It seems unlikely they play double-digit guys which in turn seems unlikely that all five of these guys have a role late in the season.

It’ll be interesting to see which guys stay in the rotation. Expect Self to work all these guys in the rotation during the non-conference part of the schedule while they try and develop the rotation that they’ll go with.
