After three consecutive 20-win seasons, will Creighton Basketball continue that trend for the 2018-19 season? Or will the program take a step back?

Last season, after moving from the Missouri Valley Conference in 2013, Creighton (21-12) was in the mix at the top of the Big East again, but they fell short in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Head Coach Greg McDermott’s squad was led by guards Khyri Thomas and Marcus Foster, but Thomas is now a Detroit Piston and Marcus Foster is playing overseas in the Korean Basketball League. Head Coach Greg McDermott lost 4 seniors and Ronnie Harrell Jr. transferred to the University of Denver.

Welcoming six new faces, lots of questions remain about the new-look Bluejays ahead of the 2018-2019 college basketball season. One of the biggest came after allegations were made in a New York court room last Thursday that Creighton offered money to former five-star recruit, Brian Bowen back in 2017.

Creighton Athletic Director Bruce Rasmussen issued a statement Friday expressing his support for Coach McDermott and the rest of the coaching staff after “no evidence” has been found to confirm the allegations.

With limited facts and the investigation just beginning, let’s put all of that to the side, here are the three biggest questions heading into the 2018 season.
