The Oklahoma State Basketball team lost a lot from last years team. They’re gonna need a lot of freshmen to step up if they want to compete in the Big 12.

This Oklahoma State Basketball team lost a lot of key guys. They lost their three seniors but losing a couple younger guys was shocking and a big loss for this team.

They do bring in some talented freshmen as well as a couple really good transfers. Curtis Jones from Indiana won’t be able to play until 2019-20 though.

Mike Cunningham was really good at USC-Upstate and he’s expected to have an impact. Redshirt sophomore Michael Weathers was expected to be a star for this Cowboys team. Off the court, issues could keep him out a long time though.

He is facing criminal charges from a Sept 9th incident at a Stillwater bar. He was expected to be a major piece on this team and it’s a big loss for a Cowboys team that lost all that star power in the offseason.

The Cowboys have to prepare and get ready for the season without him. They can’t dwell on it, they have to do what they can to continue to get better and be ready for the season opener.

They are gonna need the newcomers to step up, even more, this season. Freshmen guard Isaac Likekele could be the guy who’s role increases most in Weathers’ absence. It’ll take a team effort for them to make up for the production they expected out of him.
