The NCAA Basketball season is about to get started and each conference will make an argument on why they are the best. Here we rank the top conferences.

It’s the debate that every college basketball fan has every year and probably one of the most heated. Which conference is the best in the country? Fans come from everywhere giving you reasons why “their” conference is the best.

We have better teams! We have the most teams ranked! We had the most teams in the tournament last year! When is the last time your conference wan a national championship (looking at you Big Ten)? We have Duke! Yeah well, we have Kentucky! Well, we have Villanova and they have won two of the last three national championships! We have UCLA and all there championships! We have Kansas!

These are all arguments we hear every year and every year it never gets solved. But it doesn’t make it any less fun to argue and rank them.

So which conference will reign supreme this year? The ACC, Big East and Big 12 all have pretty solid claims. The SEC will look to build off their solid regular reason (if they can just forget their tournament showing).

The Big Ten looks more balanced and the Pac 12 is just looking for someone to make them relevant again. The American had some solid teams last year and the Atlantic 10 seemed poised to move up.

Here’s a breakdown of each conference along with where they rank in comparison to the other conferences.
