Key Reserves

Jules Bernard

Bernard like Moses Brown was a highly recruited senior out of high school. He averaged 26 ppg and 14 rebounds per game. He is more of a guard but at 6’6″ he can work inside and knows how to crash the boards. If he gets off to a good start he could definitely see himself in the starting lineup. He is a great athlete that can extend the floor and handles the ball well. Look for him to get a lot of minutes and could be key for the Bruins success this year.

Chris Smith

Smith was a solid bench player last year but averaged just 3..9 ppg. He is a big guard but with the depth the Bruins have he may not see a lot of minutes. He did not shoot the ball well, so he will need to improve that if he wants his minutes to go up. He may be looked upon to give the top guys breaks and keep them in games. Any scoring from Smith will probably just be a bonus.

Kenneth Nwuba

Nwuba is another freshman with big upside. He was not as much of a scorer as Smith and Moses in high school but knows how to control the paint. Another big body he could see the court a lot if Moses or Olesinski struggle. Alford could also decide to go huge with all three of them on the court at the same time and just absolutely control the paint. Nwuba was not as highly recruited but could be an under the radar type of guy for the Bruins.

David Singleton

Singleton is yet another freshman that looks to be ready to propel the Bruins to the top of the conference. He like Brown and Smith was a top notched scorer as a senior. He averaged nearly 24 ppg and can explode any game. He will help make the guard depth at UCLA possibly the best in the conference. Singleton could easily be a starter but if not he could be a huge spark off the bench.
