Kansas basketball doesn’t rebuild, they reload. They bring in a lot of new faces as they look to get back to the Final Four for this season.

When you lose three guys as good as the guys Kansas last from last season, it’s always gonna be tough to replace them. Luckily, the Jayhawks bring in a ton of talent that give this team even higher expectations than they had last season.

Devonte Graham, Svi Mykhailuik, and Malik Newman all were huge contributors in that Final Four run. Losing their offensive production is going to be very tough on this team.

It’ll take some time to get it going but they bring in possibly the best group of transfers in basketball with the Lawson brothers (Dedric and KJ) and Charlie Moore. The Jayhawks also bring in one of the best recruiting classes in the country. They’re ranked 5th by 247sports.

LaGerald Vick is the only senior on this team so they’re going to need him to step up in a big way. He wasn’t expected to return this season after he and Bill Self allegedly had some issues.

He took his name out of the NBA draft but even then they didn’t expect him back at Kansas. They thought it was more likely he transferred or went and played overseas. Instead, he’s back at Kansas and they’ll need him to produce in a big way.

The Kansas Jayhawks will look to win their 15th straight Big 12 regular season title. But this team is thinking bigger, they want to bring home a national championship.
