Key Reserves

Ceasar DeJesus

DeJesus, like Allen, does not shoot much from the outside. He had just 45 three-point attempts last year. He did have the second most attempts from inside the arc on the team last year with 226. The problem was he shot just 41% from the field. He will need to improve on the number for the Knights to take the next step. He brings back a lot of experience and knows how to get open, he just needs to knock down the shots.

Chad Brown

Brown has great size at 6’9″. He will be a good compliment for Fall and Smith down low. Brown is not an outside threat at all, so expect Dawkins to use Brown to sub in for Fall when he needs a break. If they can protect the inside like they did last year they could make life for opposing teams very difficult. Brown did shoot over 50% last year from the field, so he can be a threat inside.

Chance McSpadden

McSpadden played in 18 games last year averaging just over five points per game. He will more than likely be a guy to help give the Taylor, Dawkins, and Allen a breather. He shot very poorly last year, so he will need to improve on that if he wants his minutes to go up. He has decent size for a guard and plays good defense. More than likely he will average about 12 to 15 minutes a game and will be looked upon to hold the fort down if any of the guards get in foul trouble.

Dayon Griffin

Griffin is a lot like McSpadden. Decent size but not a great scorer. He took a lot of shots last year, but only shot 37% from inside the arc and 32% from behind it. He would probably be a starter if not for Dawkins finally being eligible and not hurt. If he can improve his shooting his minutes should go up. He does have the ability to score in bunches, he just has not shown the capability to do it on a consistent basis. Look for Griffin to have some breakout games, but not be the guy that UCF will count on to score very often.
