The 2018-19 NCAA basketball season is nearly upon us. With this said, who will be the best players and coaches during this campaign?

Finally. After months and months of waiting, the 2018-19 NCAA basketball season is finally here. Preseason polls have been released, exhibitions have been played, and just about every offseason article topic has been posted, so it is truly a time to celebrate the new campaign. Which teams will surprise and leap into the top-25? Who will emerge as the most dominant freshman? Which headlines will captivate audiences for the next several months?

All of these questions will soon be answered with teams taking the court for their first games in just a matter of days. As is the case with every new NCAA basketball season, the end goal for every team will be cutting down the final nets in April. But, as we approach that wonderful time of year known as March Madness, there are several underlying individual award races every single year.

So, with the season so close, let’s make some predictions for who will land spots on the All-America teams as well as secure individual awards at the end of the season. In addition to naming three All-America teams, the individual awards predicted in this article will include Freshman of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and National Player of the Year. There are obviously several candidates for each of these spots and there are bound to be some breakout performers who land spots as well.

Now, let’s dive in and see who might win each award/recognition.
