NCAA basketball season is nearly upon us. And while preseason Bracketology may be completely off by March, why not take a look at what might occur?

The NCAA basketball season is finally here. After months of waiting following Villanova’s dominant championship run, the new season is upon us. And with that comes anticipation, excitement, and high-quality basketball every single night for the next several months. In NCAA basketball, every single game matters for tournament resumes and that is just part of what makes the sport so much fun to follow.

Throughout this upcoming season, there are several storylines to follow. Of course, the play on the court will be the most important but let’s not forget that recruiting is a 365-day process. Oh, and that FBI investigation will surely continue to make headlines. And maybe we will see a breakout star emerge to dominate headlines as well as opponents like Oklahoma’s Trae Young did a year ago.

Quite simply, there are so many unknowns about what this season might bring. Having said this, why don’t we attempt the impossible task of projecting the 2019 NCAA Tournament field. By the time March rolls around, this will surely look silly but it is always fun to predict what might happen in a season full of uncertainties.

There are bound to be surprises, both positive and negative, throughout this year but here is my final preseason Bracketology. This edition will break down all four of my projected regions as well as take a short peek at which teams just missed out.
