Five-star 2020 recruit Jeremy Roach is down to four NCAA basketball programs: Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Villanova. How would he fit with each?

NCAA basketball recruiting is heating up across the country as the new season gets going. And while 2019 recruits are, for the most part, the highest priorities for most teams due to the early-signing day approaching, it would be a mistake to ignore those 2020 recruits who are being recruited the heaviest. Perhaps most notably, five-star guard Jeremy Roach has narrowed his list to just four teams: Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Villanova.

Quite simply, Jeremy Roach is a stud. No player receives heavy interest from these four powerhouse programs without dominating every single time they take the court and that is exactly what Roach does. A 6-foot-2 point guard entering his junior year of high school, Roach’s commitment, regardless of whether it comes sooner or later, will play a major role in the future of whichever program he chooses.

While on the EYBL circuit this past summer, Roach competed for Team Takeover. And despite being one of the only three 2020 graduates on the team, Roach managed to find his fair share of minutes. In 22 total contests, Roach averaged 6.6 points (.476/.346/.661), 2.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. Additionally, he will be coming out of one of the better basketball schools in the nation in Paul IV Catholic. Butler’s Aaron Thompson and Villanova’s Brandon Slater are recent players at the school (among many others).

So, without further ado, let’s dive into Roach’s final four and see how his talents may impact each program in the future.
