It was a hectic week in NCAA basketball. With the Big Ten dominating, mid-majors winning, and Villanova floundering, where do the power rankings stand?

Two weeks of the new NCAA basketball season are complete. And while the top teams in the nation are mostly still unbeaten, there were plenty of surprises during the past week. And with this, several teams have moved up and down in this week’s power rankings. Perhaps most notably, we have a bunch of new teams cracking the rankings, some of which are not from the traditional Power 6. Additionally, let’s just say the Big Ten had a pretty darn good week.

As per usual, these power rankings line up fairly closely with my current top-25 for the nation with a little extra emphasis placed on recent performances. If your favorite team is not listed, just remember that we are only two weeks into the season and just about anyone can make a claim for being ranked at this point in time. There are so many teams that are still undefeated or have landed at least one high-quality win already this season. Some have both.

With this said, it is hard to find a “perfect ranking” at this point in the year. Still, here are my top-25 (plus some others) teams based on the first two weeks of the season. These teams are bound to change within the next seven days thanks to the incredible matchups that are projected to occur during Feast Week, though. So, for the time being, I hope that you enjoy and that your favorite team was able to crack the rankings.
