9. Kentucky Wildcats

Last Week: No. 10

Kentucky is yet to really impress me this season. They certainly have plenty of talent to be one of the top teams in the country but they also are yet to show consistency on the court. Still, they have not lost since the season-opener to Duke and therefore they definitely belong in the top-10 based on record and talent level of the team.

The Wildcats, though, are about to enter a very tough stretch of their schedule. To round out non-conference play, Coach Cal set up dates against Seton Hall (N), Utah (H), North Carolina (N), and Louisville (A). We should have a much better idea of how good this team is after those four games.

In regards to their offensive production, four different ‘Cats are currently averaging in double-figures, including stars Keldon Johnson (15.9 points, 6.1 rebounds) and Reid Travis (14.6 points, 6.9 rebounds). Travis, in particular, seems to be settling into his role as the senior leader on this young team. He is currently shooting nearly 60% both from the field and from three.
