CJ Massinburg, Guard, Buffalo

18.8 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 2.0 APG

Given how well Buffalo has played this year, it shouldn’t any surprise to see their star player make it on to this list.  Massinburg, who opened the season with a pedestrian 11 points at St. Francis-PA, kicked the door off the frame with his 43 point explosion in Buffalo’s marquee road win over the then 13th ranked West Virginia Mountaineers.

While he has shown a bit of inconsistency over the first month of the season for the Bulls, there’s no doubt who makes this team fire on all cylinders.

Despite his 22.3 usage rate in ‘18-19 being close to his ‘17-18 rate of 21.4, CJ is showing a much more efficient side to his offensive game.  His TS% (.672) and eFG% (.647) are far and away the best of his career to date. His offensive rating per 100 possessions sits at 138.9 and his defensive rating per 100 possessions is currently a career-best 97.8.

In short: CJ Massinburg is important.

Buffalo has cracked the Top 25 rankings and is enjoying great success thus far.  They have so many options to attack you with, but it all begins and ends with the Senior from Dallas, Texas.
