After two big wins last week, Michigan Basketball jumped up to number five in the AP Poll. Can they continue their hot start at Northwestern on Tuesday night?

Matchup: Michigan Wolverines (6-0) at Northwestern Wildcats (6-2)

Date and time: Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 9:00 p.m. ET

TV schedule: BTN

Location: Welsh-Ryan Arena, Evanston, IL

Michigan travels to Northwestern on Tuesday night for their second Big Ten game of the year. They opened up conference play with a 76-57 win at home against Purdue on Saturday. In that game, the Wolverines jumped out to an earlier double-digit lead and was never really threatened after that.

The Wolverines again relied on their defense to wreak havoc and it frustrated the Boilermakers all day. Throw in a hot shooting first half for Michigan and it turned into yet another blowout for Jon Beilein’s squad. Michigan has won every game this year by at least 17 points and besides trailing at the half to Holy Cross in their second game of the year, they have mostly coasted through the second half of each game.

Northwestern will try and steal a win from the red-hot Wolverines and even their conference record at 1-1 after losing to Indiana this past weekend. The Wildcats have enjoyed being back in Welsh-Ryan arena this year after it was remodeled last year and forced them to play off campus.

While the Wildcats will pull off the upset here are three keys for the Wolverines on Tuesday night.
