NCAA Basketball: Predicting when the last 11 undefeated teams of 2018-19 will fall
Kansas (6-0)
Another season, another great start for the Jay Hawks.
Despite the controversy surrounding the program heading into the season, and the deactivation of Silvio de Sousa, Kansas is firing on all cylinders to date with wins over Michigan State, Tennessee, Marquette and Stanford respectively.
Clearly the addition of Quentin Grimes and Dedric Lawson have paid dividends for Bill Self and his staff.
A presumed National title favorite, the Jay Hawks could potentially make a case for running the table heading into March and boast a flawless record by the time the DJ drops the record when the Dance begins.
But is it likely?
Villanova comes to Lawrence on December 15th, and while that could be THE game to keep your eyes on, it’s hard to gauge which team Jay Wright is bringing with him that day.
The game that catches my eye is an in-state clash with Kansas State on February 5th. Bruce Weber has crafted a 6-1 start, and has subtely made K-State one of the best defensive teams in the country this year.
With an average size just .6″ shorter than Kansas, and well-rounded approach spearheaded by Barry Brown and Dean Wade, I’m saving my bold guess for last and saying that K-State earns it’s marquee wins of the season with a major victory over Bill Self and the Kansas Jay Hawks.
