The first month of the NCAA Basketball season is nearly complete. Who are the nation’s top mid-majors after the month of November?

The first month of the season is just about in the books and now seems like a good time to look at the top 10 mid-major teams over the first month. Defining which teams qualify as mid-major teams has long been a hotly debated topic season after season. Is Gonzaga considered a mid-major because they play in the West Coast Conference? Which conferences should be included in a list like this? There is, of course, no right or wrong answer to any of these questions and are more a matter of personal preference.

For the purposes of this list I have decided that No. 1 Gonzaga, even though they play in a mid-major conference, the Bulldogs as a program are more on the level of high-major teams. There will also be no teams from the power-five conferences, Big East, or the American Athletic Conference included in this list.

In the first month of the season, plenty of mid-major programs have gotten off to good starts, some expected, some rather unexpected. While this list is limited to just 10 teams, there are certainly more than 10 that could have been included, but these 10 have, in my opinion, have had a good month and have the best chance to continue that momentum in the weeks and months to come.

So, who are the 10 lucky teams that made the list of those teams that even though they are considered mid-major, they had a high-major month and could be even more dangerous as the season goes on?
