6: Duquesne (4-2)

Through six games, the Dukes have a solid win against Radford (who recently beat the ranked Texas Longhorns on the road), and their only two losses have come in away games against the likes of Notre Dame and Pitt. I expect there to be more growing pains as this team continues to figure things out, but they seem like a team that will only get better with reps and experience. Eric Williams has picked up right where he left off last season, and Mike Lewis II hasn’t played to anywhere near his ceiling to this point. As far as the newcomers, a lot of them have had their bright spots, but the most promising of them all is unheralded freshman point guard Sincere Carry

After playing Marshall on Wednesday, the Dukes will have an extremely easy stretch with consecutive games against Longwood, Maryland Eastern Shore, and Maine. If they can beat Marshall and run that weak table, they might even have the confidence and momentum needed to beat an extremely formidable Penn State team two weeks from now.
