Kansas still is on top of the Big 12, but Texas Tech again looks like they might have the team to finally wrestle away the conference championship from them. The Red Raiders were not even ranked to start the year but already own a big win over Nebraska. That has helped them climb all the way up to number 13 in the latest polls.

After those two teams, though, the Big 12 has been tough to figure out. Kansas State came in with high expectations but has looked just ok and lost to Marquette in their last game. Iowa State only has one loss but does not have a truly great win.

Oklahoma does have two good wins against Notre Dame and Florida, but neither one of those teams have been great yet. The Sooners one game against a ranked opponent they lost by 20 to Wisconsin. Their rival, Texas, has looked good at times, but just got upset by Radford.

West Virginia has not lived up to expectations and while Jamie Dixon has TCU back on track they were upset by Belmont earlier this year.

The Big 12 still has a bunch of good teams, but besides the top two they might not have any great teams and Kansas just lost Udoka Azubuike to an ankle sprain that will keep him out for a while. There are a lot more question marks than answers for this conference right now and it is why the SEC has jumped them for the third spot.
