4. Indiana Hoosiers

Led by freshman Romeo Langford, who is averaging 18.2 points per game, Indiana is off to a strong start this season. Sure, they already have a couple of losses (to Arkansas and Duke) but the Hoosiers just finished up a very strong week that should have them knocking on the top-25 door very soon. Head coach Archie Miller clearly has his time trending in the right direction at the moment behind their strong mix of experience and youth.

During this past week alone, the Hoosiers snagged a road win over Penn State before returning home to take care of Louisville. And while they won the two games by a combined three points, they will go on IU’s resume as high-quality wins at the end of the year. Of course, point differential is a part of the new NET rating but simply winning games is still the most important aspect of an NCAA Tournament resume.

Looking ahead, Indiana has one more tough test left on their non-conference schedule, a neutral-site matchup with Butler, prior to completely diving into conference play. And considering how deep and talented the Big Ten is, the Hoosiers will have plenty of chances to secure more high-quality victories as the season goes on.
