3. TCU Horned Frogs

TCU basketball has definitely flown under-the-radar over the past couple of weeks. A preseason top-25 team, the Horned Frogs fell out of the rankings following a loss to Lipscomb and it seems like they were swept out of the nation’s spotlight as well. But now that TCU is healthy, they have won four consecutive games, including two big ones away from home during this past week.

For starters, the Horned Frogs left home for the first time this season on Dec. 5 to take down SMU on the road. An impressive defensive performance, TCU held SMU to just 59 points on 36.1% shooting in the game. Then, the team continued their current streak with a neutral-site domination of USC. In a game that was seemingly over from the opening tip, the Horned Frogs decimated the Trojans by 35 points.

These two performances represented strong resume-building wins away from home for TCU. Additionally, though, they should give the Horned Frogs some added confidence heading into Big 12 play soon. Just how successful can TCU be this season?
