Week five of the NCAA Basketball season is complete. Who had the best mid-major performances of the week?

Best Performance, Individual – Mike Daum, South Dakota State

I kept putting it off, but after his second 40-point performance of the season I had to finally hand out the best individual performance of the week to Mike Daum.

The Dauminator has started off 2018 just as strongly as the other three seasons in his absurdly productive college career. He has posted at least 11 points in ever game, at least six rebounds in all but one game, seven double-doubles, and eight 20-point outings in leading the Jackrabbits to an 8-3 record.

This week, Daum dropped a cool 42 (on 13-18 shooting and 14-15 from the free throw line!), eight rebounds, and two steals in a 101-92 win for North Dakota State over Southern.

He also tossed in 18 in a narrow 88-80 loss for NDS to Memphis on Tuesday. Long live the Dauminator.

Honorable mention goes to Ryan Woolridge’s 12-10-10 triple double in a North Texas win over Indiana State, Tarkus Ferguson’s 14-12-11 (despite a bad shooting night) in UIC’s beatdown of Illinois State, Anthony Lamb scoring 37 of Vermont’s 71 points in a win over Harvard, Harald Frey going for 31-6-10 in Montana’s upset of Washington State, and AJ Brodeur’s 18-8-6-2-1 in Penn’s 14-point (!) win over Miami.
