13. Buffalo Bulls

Last Week: No. 17

While other teams keep dropping games, Buffalo just continues to notch wins. And while their strength of schedule might not be elite, they did snag a couple of quality wins away from home in the last couple of weeks over San Francisco and St. Bonaventure. The Bulls now stand at 9-0 and have the potential to rise up the rankings even further in the coming weeks. Buffalo is currently in the midst of a nine-game stretch that includes just two home contests.

Most notably, though, road matchups against Syracuse and Marquette loom in the coming weeks. Buffalo’s elite fast-paced offense will certainly be tested against these two teams. The Bulls can seemingly fill up the basket against any opponent and these two high-profile non-conference matchups should be must-watches for any college basketball fan. Buffalo’s offense, in particular, will be fun to watch against ‘Cuse’s zone.

In regards to roster construction, part of what makes Buffalo so dangerous is their veteran leadership. C.J. Massinburg (17.5 points), Jeremy Harris (13.6 points), and Nick Perkins (13.1 points) are all seniors with plenty of collegiate experience. When things get tough this season, which is bound to happen at some point, these three can keep the team level-headed and focused on success. This abundance of experience on the roster is a serious luxury for head coach Nate Oats.
