3. Gonzaga Bulldogs

Last Week: No. 1

Gonzaga may have lost its first game of the year this week (to Tennessee) but they should not fall all that far. Unlike some of the other top teams in the nation, the Bulldogs have tested themselves tremendously during this non-conference slate. Statistically, they have played the 22nd-most difficult schedule in the nation so far and have already faced off against six major conference teams in 10 contests. Additionally, this daunting start to the season continues with a road matchup against North Carolina coming next.

The Bulldogs have been, despite the loss to the Volunteers, easily one of the most impressive teams in the nation so far. They have also proven that, barring injury, they will be one of the NCAA Tournament favorites by the time March comes along.

Gonzaga, quite simply, is one of the best teams in the country and anyone who says otherwise needs an eye exam. Head coach Mark Few arguably has his most talented team yet this year and they are still playing without star big man Killian Tillie. Once he returns to action, the Bulldogs should be even better. And that…is a scary thought.
